Plenty of power, with just a battery last a good while, love not having to have an outlet to plug into can go anywhere anytime and you can use it. Not a lightweight tool is pretty heavy made to last. Guard works great and cut is pure goes through wood like hot knife in butter. Handle is very comfortable also and it takes full 7 1/4 blades no hassles finding them not like the 6 1/2 blades you could hardly find and always pay more for them. If you need a good saw buy this one you won't be disappointed.

When I first let it rev. In my hand. I was really disappointed. Super quiet, no kick, and way too steady to cut anything. Almost thought this was a Ryobi Knock off... WRONG! This is surely going to give you an orgasim the first time you rip anything with it. You're going to fall in love! Yes, I love power tools. This is my 6th 18volt Milwuakee Fuel Power Tool. EVERY tool, purchased used or new is amazing. The impact driver (have two sets), hammer drill (have two sets), sawzall, LED light, 7 1/4" circular saw, caulking gun (AMAZING, have two sets), I did have one 5.0 battery die in the first month (have seven 5.0 mah, three 2.4 mah)... that hurt, a lot! But, I love Milwaukee. Tried Makita for a while, but felt like I was spat on with there cordless drills, still make me ill! Invest in this tool (Fuel 7.25" Circular Saw-Milwuakee), you'll love it, cordless is the way to go!Read full review

This saw is excellent! It does everything I can ask out of a cordless saw. Even cutting 4x4's and 4x6's. (Just gotta turn it over to make the second cut.) Does not have the power of a worm drive, (duh)! but go slow, and use a good quality blade like a Diablo etc. Good job Milwaukee! Now make one where the blade is on the LEFT side!!!!

I've used a number of different battery powered saws over the years and literally worked a 19.2 Craftsman to death. I've been mourning the death of my last battery powered saw for about 6 months (a lifetime when you love building stuff) and I finally pulled the trigger on this beast. Like others said, it doesn't seem impressive holding it or pulling the trigger, but when you start actually cutting, then you'll be impressed. Seems to cut as good as a corded saw. My second day of testing it out, I dragged it into a crawl space to cut blocking and the light on it made the job a breeze. Did all of the cuts on one pack too with battery to spare. My old saw had no light and would have ate three packs at least.
