So, this is what they call a "B" input transaxle, that means, axle mounted forward with pulley behind axle. The "A" input transaxle is mounted with axle to the rear, with pulley forward.
Did not know this before sale. But I'll make it work, or put it on something else.

It's a 3 speed not a 6 speed as it states and the input shaft is offset so you have 3 reverses and 1 forward gear. Why peerless can make 2 820 transaxles that are almost identical but slightly different design , and 1 is 200 bucks and the other is 1100 bucks is beyond me.

Item was exactly as described, packed well and arrived promptly. I am repairing my 25 Y.O. MTD CSV-203B Chipper Shredder Vac that has an obsolete and tired Tecumseh OHH-55 engine with the dreaded tapered crankshaft.
