It does a great job of crushing, pulverizing to a fine powder, most pills. The one pill I am having problems with is the Lipitor, 80mg. I initially tried to grind them as a whole pill with little success. I then attempted to grind it after splitting them into halves. This was more successful, but there were still two small pieces remaining and no matter how long I have ground them, even reversing the action for a few turns before returning to the proper way to grind. Overall I give it a 90-95

Works great. Don't tighten lid.
This has made it so easy to crush all my pills and put them into some water to pour into my PEG tube. Just be careful not to put the lid on to tight, it can be very hard to get off. I know.

Better Buy is an Electic Coffee Grinder as Much Easier and Quicker
Yes it works; but not well. For larger pills one has to shake it most times to get the pieces to fall into the grinder itself. Grinding is pretty good; mix of powder and very small pieces. But you have to remove the top to see if it has ground it all. The bottom half of the grinder would become stuck if you added any significant force when putting the bottom back on after you emptied the bottom. The third time it happened I threw it away. Also; if older folks have hand issues the manual grinding can be difficult to use. Better Option is a small electric coffee grinder. The pills for my dog were ground to a fine powder and I could mix it in the food. I dropped them in the top, pressed the button and in two seconds it was in a powder. Lifted the lid, poured the powdered pills into the top ... Yes it works; but not well. For larger pills one has to shake it most times to get the pieces to fall into the grinder itself. So Easy
So easy. So much easier that crushing. I can put my wife's 6 or 8 tablets in the grinder. Ease the crank back and forth a few times and they're powder. Even add a couple of Tylenol or Advil.
