I've bought several of these pumps, they are work horses for sure, I use my pump to circulate the water in my Hot tub so it runs always, only gets shut down 2 times a year for cleaning. Stays cool for the most part, circulates water very well, and best part is its small enough to fit practically anywhere. Highly recommend this pump for all your clean water needs.

Came with a very short cord WITHOUT a ground wire in it. Replaced it with a computer power cord. Capacitor was not bolted down, made a bracket to hold it down. If your pulling water from below the level of the pump you WILL need a check valve installed BELOW the surface of the water.* If you do not do this you will pull an air bubble and it will quit. While your installing this it would be a good idea to plumb in a fill port on the intake side making sure it is the highest point in the loop for easier priming. A threaded PVC cap is perfect for this. *I used a brass check valve as I don't think it will pull hard enough to open a spring loaded one.*

This QB60 water pump arrived WITHOUT a power cord (see picture), I guess I must have missed this product feature. Now, this wouldn't have bothered me, IF there was a wiring diagram provided to show me how to properly rewire this pump WITH a protective ground connection. There was no wiring diagram provided. The motor/stator wiring starts out with yellow, blue and brown wires, then is connected to a capacitor, and then finally all of this is connected to black and green wires. I spend an hour on the internet trying to figure it out, and no luck. As it is, I am VERY annoyed. If someone could help me out, that would be much appreciated.

I needed a pump for a open loop geothermal that didn't pull 10 amps to just allow water flow. This pump is small but does the job just fine and draws only about quarter of the power I was using.

The pump works ok but is loud and has a hard time starting(It will just hum and not turn). Sometimes I need to turn it on and off before it takes off. When the thing runs it works ok but is a bit loud.
