It is a fine camera and easy to use. The only draw back is that there are so many "features" or "options" when taking a picture. I haven't figured them all out and that is a little frustrating. I took some group shots using the timer but I must have had it on the wrong setting because all of those pictures came out a little bluish. Just too many options. I liked the timer option, because it just kept taking pictures until I turned it off, which made for fun poses in the group shot.

I got this used camera recently and so far I really like it. It is compact without being fragile, takes good pictures, and has the features I wanted. It is easy to use without having to refer to the manual constantly to change settings. The price was right so all in all, I am happy with the purchase.
One of the best cameras I've ever owned. Well... Actually, it is the BEST. What I've had is: Ricoh (640x480, 1997), Epson 700 (1998, still up and running!), Toshiba (don't remember the model, but it had 10x optical zoom, 2003), Canon S1 IS (2004), Canon S5 IS (now), Canon SD700 (now). The image quality of SD700 is outstanding. IMO, it takes even better shots than S5. Slim design. Great image stabiliser. The focus assist lamp really helps in low-light environment. I'm just being picky, but I have to mention them. Here they are, the cons: - no swivel display - noticeable noise at ISO above 200 (that's the only real drawback). - the flash is a bit underpowered. It'd be nice if we could adjust the flash power in AUTO mode. - red eyes. MANY indoor photos have this problem. Easy to fix, but still annoying. - lack of manual controls (i.e. manual focus, but again, I'm just trying to be picky, you don't really need this one) - too slim and light, so it can easily slip out of you shirt pocket when you bend down. BEWARE, I've broken the LCD screen because of that! Bottom line: It's a great multipurpose camera, get one while there are a few still available.Read full review
I had an identical camera to this one but somehow I broke the view screen. I thought by buying an identical camera I would have enough parts between the two to keep a camera serving for a very long time. This model fits in a pocket, easy to use, takes good pictures and I like it.

This is the second one of these I've owned; only because the first one is now 6 years old and performing as new. Only one minor complaint about this camera; there is not a battery indicator to warn you when the battery is about dead. I stood under the approach end of a runway watching the Russian Antonov cargo plane (world's largest plane) coming at me, using this camera to video it passing about 100 feet over my head. When the plane was about a mile away, the battery died with no warning! Not good! I still am using hte original battery after 6 years and the battery life is still quite good. I have a 2GB SD card in it, which I think is about as large as it will take. Basically, I think this camera is a great camera for the casual user, and the 6 megapixel is perfect for me; small enough to make uploading pics to ebay or whatever manageable, but high enough for good clarity in original size.Read full review
