This is a great little microscope capable of stunning photography. Its drawbacks are two. First, it really needs a real stand with a focusing mechanism like a small rack and pinion. The narrow depth of focus especially at higher magnifications and the photo quality available when focus is right just demands it. Second, I'd rather have lower power than 40x for a broader field of view when looking at small objects. But heck, for the price this item can't be beat (and I've seen what appears to be the same device at MUCH higher prices).

Hard to adjust, software is buggy - keeps crashing, and win10 keeps giving unknown driver warnings (not digiallty signed?). The stand is junk and not heavy enough to even hold the microscope. Picture is also grainy even when zoomed in. The body creaks and pops as you use the zoom/focus. The thumbwheel is slick making it hard to rotate. When it does work, it's fantastic. I'm able to zoom in and see stuff (although grainy). For the price I can't really fault it much, when compared to the $300-$800 alternative of a similar design.

Everyone should own one of these. Great for splinters and circuit boards. Cheap for what you get.

I feel it should have a better height adjuster. It seems to be a lil cheapish. But overall the camera and scope does an excellent job.

Fantastic deal for a decent camera. Not the best resolution but definitely good for simple purposes.
