hook's book
bell hooks compelling book challenges us to examine our own biases and assumptions. By explaining how to live simply and express solidarity with the poor we can cross class boundaries more freely. Her compilation of essays are provoking and direct. Although we will be challenged by her ideas, we will also begin to understand the plight of the poor in the United States.

It was a very good book and it covored the topics of race, gneder, and class very thoroughly. It contains very powerful text and shows various detailed examples of the concepts.I enjoyed reading it because it made very strong points and it applies to the reality in which we live in today.
