About this product

Product Information

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - A special 20th anniversary edition of the beloved book that changed millions of lives--with a new afterword by the author Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago. Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger? Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final "class" lessons in how to live. Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

You will fall in love with Morrie, a beautiful old man with a great lesson for all.

Beautiful true account of the author's time with his old college professor and friend, who is dying. Very touching and a great life lesson.

Two stars for condition of the book, not the contents of the book.

The particular paperback book I received was highly marked up with highlighter....which is a bit distracting and I wouldn't buy it again. I can still read it, but I won't resell I will discard it. I haven't finished reading it but so far it's enjoyable.

  • A great book about friendship and love

"Tuesdays with Morrie" is a magical story about relationships between two people, A formal teacher and his favourite student, Morrie was a college professor in philosophy for many years. His favorite student was Mitch Album ,Morrie retired from teaching and along the way lost touch with Mitch. When Mitch discovers about Morrie's illness and the fact that he was dying, he quickly got in touch with his old professor. What started as a reunion of old friends turned into the project of a lifetime. Mitch and Morrie started spending every Tuesdays together exploring many of life's fundamental issues -- family, marriage,It was defiantly Morrie's last lecture, The formal professor was inspiring his student for the last time. Tuesdays with Morrie" is more than just a dying man's last ...

  • TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE

I bought "Tuesdays with Morrie" because I read "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" and really liked it so I wanted to read the other books that Mitch Albom had written. I found "Tuesdays with Morrie" to be an inspiring book bout the love of a man (Mitch--author) for his mentor (Morrie), and how Morrie gives Mitch a second chance to discover life through his dying friend. they talk every Tuesday on such topies as family, death, feeling sorry for yourself, and emotion. Morrie is able to take his own impending death and teach us how to live. I will re-read this book---much slower this time! There is so much to digest that one really needs to read a chapter at a time and reflect on what you have learned after each chapter. I loved this book!

  • Tuesdays w/Morrie

I saw this book on Oprah of all places. I had heard it was a good book and I was curious what all the hype was about. I ordered it and received it quickly. I started reading it after I had attended 2 funerals in 15 days of close loved ones. What I didn't know then was that was the perfect time. This book tells the story of a dying man who wants to make sure everyone around him knew he loved them. He didn't wallow in the fact that he was dying. He celebrated the time he had left to tell those around him how much they meant to him. It is a wonderful story that everyone needs to read. That life isn't what you buy, its who you love and who loves you. Make sure they know how they effected your life and how richer your life was because of them. It makes alot of sense and makes you think. ...
