Well thought out, and well written script. Gina Gershon, and Jennifer Tilly are perfect for the roles they play. I would suggest you see the wikipedia and IMDb articles about this film as well, for an even Better appreciation. The Wachowskis' are quite the pair, who also made the Matrix Trilogy, and Cloud Atlas, which is truly a work of Art. Pantoliano is perfect for his part as well, and while the Mafia may not function quite the way it is portrayed, Joe makes it believable, What really impresses me, is the way Gina plays the handyman, er, girl. She is more than credible with the way she handles tools, and I bet she could fix a sink in real life as well. This film is a Real Nugget, and,, yeah, the sex scene is Real. No body doubles. :-)Well thought out, and well written script. Gina Gershon, and Jennifer Tilly are perfect for the roles they play. A Hot Lesbian, Passionate film that is about love and doing the right thing. Escaping with the one that you love with a few bucks in your pocket. I know this sounds rather generic but this film is worth watching if you are a Gina Gershon Fan, Meg Tilly Fan, A Chris Meloni Fan! A sleuth of fabulous actors! This film ranks high on my list of Films because it has a terrific plot, great quotes and a happy ending. I know, A happy ending? Well, who doesn't want a Happy Ending nowadays? It's better than the alternative in which everyone dies and everyone has a miserable ending that most of today's generation prefers. But if you are like me, You will enjoy this provacative film that is Rated R I believe and not for children under 17! However, very mild compared to today's standards! You will ... Rated one of the best movies of 1996, this movie does deliver. Sporting a cast of talented actors and actresses such as Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon, John Ryan and Joe Pantoliano make Bound such a success. The movie sort of goes like this: A mobster, his mistress and a tough ex-con are caught in a dangerous plot with over $2 million of the mob's money at stake. Tilly and Gershon come up with the plot to steal the money from Pantoliano, but not before engaging in a little lesbian lust, which quickly turns to love are they ready to set their plan into action. But Pantoliano turns the tides on both and that's where the real fun begins. Bound is full of action, adventure and plenty of plot twists. It's a scary, funny, sexy and exciting movie that will keep you glued until the end. Buy ... Rated one of the best movies of 1996, this movie does deliver. I really liked this movie. The mob scenes are a bit gory. That's how it is I guess with the mob right? I have seen this movie before years ago but hadn't quite paid attention as much as I thought I had back then. I was re-introduced to the plot of this film and it is a good one. I am kinda sorta a fan of gangster type movies and this is one all about the women. That makes it one of the better ones like "Set It Off". Yea for gurl power!!!!!!! "GG" and "JT" did pretty good with the roles. "JT" was a little overdoing with the I just met you seduction part of the movie but all in all it was OK. I have been trying to buy this for some time and finally got it and glad to have it in my collection. So, if you want to know if I recommend, then yes is the answer. Enjoy!I really liked this movie. Great Mafia Movie!
Violet is the girlfriend of a gangster and Corky is an ex-con doing renovations on the apartment nextdoor. They begin a passionate affair and Violet realize they could steal a fortune from the mob and Corky irons out the details of the heist. Really great characters, including Christopher Meloni of Law and Order: SVU fame, Jennifer Tilly, and Gina Gershon. Made by the Wachowskis to prove themselves to get the funding for The Matrix and they did. This is definitely an underrated classic.
