    Good read

    II prefer his historical fiction however this was based on light historical and the plot was more of a mystery type story. Relaxed reading, well described characters

    Early Follett - excellent!

    Ken Follett is such a versatile writer and this book, about the passengers on a Pan Am Flying Clipper, flying to North America from Britain on the day Britain declared war on Germany, is full of plots and subplots. There is a fascist Earl and his family, a handsome jewel thief, a couple of "mystery men, and a kidnapping plot involving one of the flight crew. A really fun read.
