Excellent Temperature Controller
This controller works very well. Highly accurate and responds quickly to temperature changes, unlike some similar devices. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the programming is not very intuitive, i.e. don't lose the instructions. Once programmed, it retains the settings even when disconnected from the power. Switching capability is 8 amps @ 110 volts (Some pictures you may see may show only a 5 amp capability, but the models being shipped are 8 amp). I have been using it now for about a month to control the temperature in an outdoor pet house that I built. I have had no problems whatsoever with this controller. VERY hard to program
Because of the micro-programing booklet this device is almost impossible to use. It took me about 5 hrs to make the thing work. This is because the manufacturer does not understand the english language well enough to make himself understood. It's a real pain in the ass! Very complicated to set functions. It seams well made and works well enough but Good luck programming it! Too bad since it works very well when set up. Would have given 5 stars if easy to program. Works fantastic for incubator!
Not all incubators have the ability to stabilize the temps. and keep them between a set temperature, which is very important for hatching certain eggs. So to fix this issue, I bought this temp. controller and it works great! I can set it how I want it and I don't have to worry about a thing dealing with the temperature keeping stable. It just shuts off the incubator when it's about to reach a temperature that is too high, then when the temperature drops to a point before it becomes too cool, it then turns the incubator back on. For instance, the ideal temperature for my particular hatching eggs is to be kept between 99.5 - 100 degrees F. So I set the controller to turn the incubator OFF at 100.1 degrees. Since it takes a little time for the incubator to readjust the temp to the correct ... Not all incubators have the ability to stabilize the temps. and keep them between a set temperature, which is very important for hatching certain eggs. So to fix this issue, I bought this temp. controller and it works great! I can set it how I want it and I don't have to worry about a thing dealing with the temperature keeping stable. It just shuts off the incubator when it's about to reach a temperature that is too high, then when the temperature drops to a point before it becomes too cool, it then turns the incubator back on. For instance, the ideal temperature for my particular hatching eggs is to be kept between 99.5 - 100 degrees F. So I set the controller to turn the incubator OFF at 100.1 degrees. Since it takes a little time for the incubator to readjust the temp to the correct setting when it is turned back on, I set the controller to turn the incubator ON at -.5 degrees from 100.1, which would make it 99.6 degrees. So OFF at 100.1F and then back ON at 99.6F. Right when the incubator turns ON, the temp naturally continues to drop a little below 99.5, but not to the point that it becomes a threat to the eggs' survival. I have found that these settings have worked the best for me and it's not hard to set once you get the hang of it and the numbers worked out. Would buy again!! Super happy with this little gadget!

Best beef I've ever cooked!!!!
I used this controller and an inexpensive CrockPot, the lowest end model and a gallon ziplock freezer bag to make Sous Vide of a very inexpensive beef chuck shoulder roast(2.47$US/LB). 48 hours at 131 degF, with browning both before and after the hotwater bath. It was like the best Prime Rib!!!! That whole roast cost less than the per lb cost of beef rib roast(for prime rib), and it was at least 4 pounds. I also, after the roast was browned and removed, put the roast's liquids from the bag in the pan and reduced and carmelized it to make the aux jus. Willhi 1436a - wifi Temperature controller
I did not realize the unit I bought was wifi controlled. I was able to make it work after 2 hours of fiddling with the Google app store (a pia) downloading from my pc because google adds prevented the download to my phone, then finally installing the app on the phone by copying the apk to the phone, finding it, and installing it. After connecting it to the wifi it was easy to change the settings. What I do not understand is the need for connecting it at all. There is a setting for bluetooth that did not seem to work. I have several of these controllers and they are easy to program via the keypad. Making it wifi did not make it easier, it made it harder. A bad design I will not buy agaon.
