    I'd like to think they'll do the job

    I hope I can never provide a review for this item, as they are for personal security and I really don't want to use it! Going by what I've read these are the best for the job, and hopefully would perform as advertised, I do wonder about the effectiveness due to the old saying "you get what you pay for" as these are very reasonably priced. My wife won't let me try it out on her and I like my dog too much and it's against the law to use for any reason other than personal protection so I guess I'll just have to hope for the bast!

    Terrible deal.

    I bought the 4oz hoping it would last a while.It states on the container you'll get approximately 18-20 1 second bursts at 13-15ft.I recently had to use some on my neighbor's chihuahuas because the were attacking me.I only got about 3 1 second bursts before the canister was empty.It also came out as more of a spray than a stream,which barely affected the dogs.It made them sneeze a little...that's it.Not worth $20+.I'll just get a big can of bear mace next time.

    Wildfire 2 Dogs 0

    I walk everywhere I go. Twice in the last month I've encountered vicious dogs who attempted to attack me. The first was a pitbull and after hitting it with a large dose of wildfire the pooch went running the other way. The second was a German Shepherd and with a quick shot of wildfire it was laying down in the street pawing at it's own face whimpering! So the score is wildfire 2 dogs 0. Great stuff, I highly recommend it for those who don't want bite marks on their butt.

    Bought one and was very pleased. Using to repel varmits. Worked very well; so ordered a second. The second dribbled instead of firing, loading me , my eyes, and my nostrils, but not reaching the varmit 6 ft away – necessitating repeated washings to clear my hands of contamination.
