We bought the F20 as a used camera in 2010, after our old F 20 had been stolen. We had received a Panasonic Lumix FS15 as a gift, but were never happy with its performance in low light. Also the shutter speed was too slow for quick pics of kids etc., otherwise it worked great. So I kept looking to find an inexpensive used Fuji F 20 on E-bay and Amazon just to find that they were still rather expensive. I kept looking and finally found one under $ 50.00. Back in 2007 this model was recommended to us by a Ritz camera salesman. We just wanted a camera for quick point & shoot, for quick action shots, fast shutter and little use of flash. It sure did not dissappoint us, even the videos in low light or even in almost darkness come out fantastic compared to the Panasonic. Of course this camera only has 6.8 MP which by todays standards is not enough, it also uses the xD memory card which is almost out and pretty expensive. The newer F-series models all have the sD cards. I don't know how the newer models work in low light and otherwise but if they do work as well a my old F20 I would by another Fuji F model any time.Read full review
This camera has a very good lens and will take pictures in very low light without flash. It has fast shutter recovery and does well with videos. It's getting harder to find high capacity XD cards and a lot of newer computer equipment don't have XD card reading capabilities. I've owned a camera of this model for many years and carry it everywhere I go. A lot of forums won't accept high memory pictures taken by high megapixel cameras. The pictures from this camera upload easily.

OK its 2011 and your looking at all the latest models and pouring over the reviews. If you love taking your camera to parties and an evening out then look no further. I picked up this little gem for a steal on ebay. It's still the best party camera even after 4 years. Fujifilm still has not improved upon the F31fd, F30, or F20 in terms of low light performace in a compact since these cameras were launched. The secret is that these are really still the best evening out on the town point and shoot digicams ever produced ... just my two cents worth.
I have own many fuji film and lumix cameras. This F20 is specially take good quality pictures in low light situation such as indoor or night with high ISO setting without grainy looking. Daytime or outside pictures are all right for this class of camera. By setting accurate at Manual mode, then I can take really crisp shots. It is very compact and stylish silver-gray color that I can bring this all over with me for snap shots of days and nights.
This camera only sports 6MP and given today's megapixel race, it is outdated. However, it is a very good camera in terms of image quality even with its low megapixel count. The images it captures are clean and detailed. Its ISO 800 is perfectly useable! The Movie mode is excellent even in low light situations! The clips it captures are clear and less grainy compared to other P & S cameras. I am pleased with this purchase.
