Glock 26 mag extensions.
These extensions make the 26 more easily handled as the pinky finger helps maintain control when firing! Previous ones that I've installed do add 3 rounds to the mag, only 2! But that being said you still add 2 to the mag and have better control with a subcompact pistol! I would recommend unless you live in a "10 round mag state"! If you do, Pearce makes an extension that does not add any more rounds but has support for the little finger! Good product, very functional! It's a great quality product, but I have a pretty hard time justifying it because it makes my Glock 26 almost the same height as my Glock 19 with three less rounds, a shorter barrel (less velocity), and a shorter sight radius. If I'm going to approach 5" it's not worth it in my opinion. If you Glock 26 is your only gun, go with a Glock 19 magazine and an XGrip. It's about the same height, it gives you three more rounds, and it's more comfortable in my opinion because it supports the back of your palm. I'll recommend it to people who think it's their most comfortable option, but give the way we cant our pistols in holsters, I see no functional advantage. At first I thought I had installed the product wrong, however after talking to customer support I was told I did everything right. I purchased 2 round extensions but could only get 1 extra round in my magazine. Customer support informed me that this occurs with new mags due to the mag spring not being broken in. The Tech said after the spring is compressed and relaxed a number of times it will allow me to load 2 more rounds. Pros-easy to install, comes with all necessary parts to install, adds serrated portion for my pinky finger. Cons-have to wait on springs to relax a bit to get the 2 extra roundsAt first I thought I had installed the product wrong, however after talking to customer support I was told I did everything right. Adds length for a firm grip
I have used the Pearce grip extensions without additional capacity and they do a fine job but this extension gives a nice grip and adds a few rounds with very little additional length and no problems with ability to conceal - of course the standard 10 rd mag without an extension is the most compact but if you need or want that pinky resting on something an extension is a good option. Now concerning the number of extra rounds this grip affords - I was able to cram 3 extra 9mm rounds in it but it would NOT function reliability. I use just 2 extra rounds and with the one in the chamber I have 13 available and with a compact sidearm that is excellent. I recommend this grip extension with extra capacity but limit the number of rounds in the mag to 12 (9mm). Great added grip and rounds.
Pearce grip extensions are always well made. I used different variations of Pearce grips on all three of my Glocks and they have never failed me. I like the added grip texture also and the two extra rounds for 27 is exactly why I wanted these. Easy to install and functioned flawlessly.
