    Bait and Switch

    Zmodo NVR does not give me much functionality. The functionality that the NVR should have is with their EXPENSIVE cloud service that they will constantly try to sell you with the phone app that is necessary to use the NVR system with convenience. They made it so you need internet to have a camera system on your own LAN so that you must use the phone. Controls from the NVR alone are archaic and difficult to use with only one USB port where you need to insert your mouse and thus you can’t save any recordings without phone and internet. They treat NVR owners like renters. They push updates to cameras with no regard for previous NVR purchasers. These updates usually break what didn’t need fixed in the first place.
