    Length & Usefulness

    My first was 30inch, 2nd 36inch. I purchased for post operative use. For easier grab from table for meds etc, to place directly in hand the 30inch is a lot easier to handle. Although shorter, the reach plus arm length is great. So for sitting & grabbing stuff I recommend the 30inch. For higher items or stuff not needed to go directly into hand then the 36+ is more useful. The end pincers are super accurate, strong and making grabbing most things a dream. The rotating handle is also super helpful depending on the weight & size of the object.

    Shoddy merchandise !

    I purchased a few of these items over the years ,they originally had eight screws holding the handle together ,once in a,while an adj was needed and could easily be accomplished , I broke one and bought a replacement ,which failed after about three months ,the shaft on early models extended about an inch into the handle and was quite sturdy ,the replacement item i observed had only four screws and the shaft only wss inserted to about one half inch ! The shaft snapped off at entry point ! The one I just purchased has NO screws only glue ! I doubt it will last a monrh ,a once servicable item has been engineered into useless garbage ,! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!

    Look great, but then fail.

    Not the first one of these I have purchased and both have failed at the same joint. There is a very narrow area on the articulating part of the jaws that is prone to failure. While these look better and appear to be of better quality than many of the less expensive models, the fact is, they break.

    Great Idea! But poorly constructed with Plastic Claws!

    Poorly constructed with plastic claws. Durability greatly reduced with these plastic claws, which can viewed in picture below. This claw seemed to perform well at first, but after attempt to pick up light item claw broke Attempted contact for this issue and the warranty, NO RESPONSE!

    None better than the Grabber Buddy

    As a double transplant patient, I used a couple of these for several months during my recovery. I tried a couple other less expensive brands but found that the quality was awful. The grabber buddy actually really impressed me with its versatility. It helped me with socks, shoes and picking up anything else on the floor. Now that I can reach the floor easily I still find myself using the grabber just for the convenience or to reach things in out of the way places.
